We have written a number of posts dealing with the best way to apply beard oil or taming an unruly beard.
Our latest post is a more general in that it speaks to an overall regiment to implement to give your beard the best beard care possible.
You want to really take care of that facial hair: today, tomorrow and everyday – its even more noticeable than the hair on your head so you want to have a plan in place where you are in control of your beard.
Nothing is worse than buying some beard care products and being lost in the maze without knowing what to do. So here are four ways to get into that zone (the pre-beard care zone) so your goals are clearly defined and you know what you’re trying to achieve.
1. TAKE TIME OUT FOR YOUR BEARD.
Previously you’ve taken out time daily to shave and you know from experience that its a good 10 minutes (assuming you were using an electric shaver) and even more if you were doing it by hand.
The good news is that even the best of the best beard care regimens won’t take that long!
A few minutes everyday and you’re got it. So plan a 5 minute regimen, something as simple as just washing the beard with a beard soap right there in the sink and you’re done.
2. SMILES & BEARDS GO HAND IN HAND.
You know the cheapest (actually 100% free!) way of accentuating that beard and making it look even better: smile. There is something about beards and smiles that go hand in hand.
Practice smiling everyday – it has many health benefits like improving your mood, reducing your blood pressure, and it does wonders for your beard.
Remember you are a beard ambassador and your happy, bearded look will improve the moods of others and have them wondering “Its the beard!” I have to grow one too.
3. DON’T LET A BAD BEARD DAY GET YOU DOWN.
We’ve mentioned in our other articles that there its a folly to pursue the perfect beard every day. You’re bound to have days when your beard is not up to standard – and that’s fine.
Learn to be accepting of your beard and you’ll (literally) see it in better light. Otherwise if you get despondent and distressed over a few bad beard days and shave it off – then you’ve really lost out.
4. KNOW THE VALUE OF THAT BEARD.
Do you know how many people dream of growing a beard but can’t for one reason or another? Some are teenagers who can’t wait for that hair to sprout. Others may not be able to grow their beards due to genetics.
Learn the value of what you have and that it will inspire and encourage you to take care of it automatically. That my friends is the secret to giving your beard the best beard care.
