[1] Lion’s Mane Organic Beard Foaming Wash: This wash will foam up in your hand and let your cover your beard like you would if you were shaving. This product has three organic base oils: coconut, olive and jojoba, all of which are great for facial hair and dealing with “beardruff”.

If you are experiencing itching, inflammation, and breakage this wash contains organic aloe vera and rosemary extract that serves as an anti-inflammatory agent and revitalizes the hair follicles in your beard.

The scent is refreshing lemongrass for a lingering masculine scent reminiscent of the outdoors. This product comes in a nice pump bottle to make it beard care all the more easier. [2] Ultra Beard Conditioner By Beardsley: This one of the first products we retailed on our website and it has been a staple of sensible beard care ever since. Beardsley is one of the most well-known brands in the beard care industry.

This product contains wild cherry fruit, golden seal, and marigold flower.

Marigold flower is known for its antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties.

This conditioner also contains Vitamin B-5, which stimulates cellular proliferation and aids in tissue repair. Although it is recommended to use it after washing your beard with a beard shampoo, you don’t need to.

This beard conditioner is one of the first shower based products we’ve seen in the market. The vast majority of beard conditioners are actually beard oils.

This product has a great scent and is the ideal product if you are looking to keep your beard soft and smooth – something that many men are often concerned the most about when they get serious about caring for their beard.

[3] Ultra Beard Shampoo [Wild Berry]: You might find it a bit surprising that the Ultra Beard Conditioner by Beardsley ranks higher than its shampoo – but we’ve seen this phenomenon over the past couple years.

Many men forego the shampoo in favor of the conditioner. Still, many others order the combination of shampoo and conditioner with the wild berry flavor being way ahead of the Cantaloupe.

While the cantaloupe flavor was a later introduction by Beardsley, and while some of our customers do prefer it, it could never match the popularity of the wild berry flavor.

This shampoo – in our humble opinion – has the best scent of any beard care product that we’ve come across. True, the scent does not last for a long time, but that is perfect for those who don’t prefer an overwhelming scent. The light, mild scent lingers in your beard for a while leaving a trace of the fragrance that you experience in the shower.

There are two ingredients in this products that are great for beard care:

• Cocamide Dea: A natural oil expressed from coconut kernels used for its cleansing and foaming action.

• Quillaia Extract: Botanical bark extract known to promote healing and reduce excessive skin oiliness.

[4] Beard Balm by Giant Beard: The first leave-in product on our list here is a beard balm. Made in Detroit, Michigan – this artisan product has a really nice scent.

This balm is handcrafted in tin batches, melted with an open flame and hand-poured. Beard Balm combines grape seed and coconut oils with lanolin and beeswax, creating a soft, easy-to-use, long-lasting moisturizer that provides a touch of sculptability to any style of facial hair.

They add the essential oils of lemon peel, eucalyptus leaf, and geranium flower, three oils that promote hair and follicle health.

This all-natural, leave-in conditioner is perfectly formulated to stop split ends, tangles, broken hairs and dry, flaky skin while bringing out the natural beauty of your beard.

[5] Bay Lime Beard Oil: This is one of the earliest products we started selling and this beard oil has done really well. It is a quality product at a quality price for the big beard care routine. Meaning, if you have a giant beard and you don’t want to be spending $30-40 on 2 oz. bottles that will run empty quickly then this is the oil for you.

This beard oil combines two potent oils: sesame and jojoba with organic lime tosoften, condition and clean the beard, while the bay lime aroma confers a nice scent, perfect for both days in the office and on the weekends.

Contains the following:

• Sesame Oil: A nourishing oil that helps reduce stiffness and tightness in the scalp. It is also believed to result in darker hair.

• Jojoba Oil: A superb moisturizer and healer that has a strikingly similar composition to natural human oils which are essential to maintaining a healthy beard.

• Organic Lime: Breaks down trapped dirt and oil clinging to hair shafts and clogging pores.

Novices might fret over choosing between a beard balm and a beard oil – but it really comes down to what works best for you.
