Product Description
The great thing about small-batch beard care products like these is that you are supporting artisans that handcraft these beard balms with care. Puur is a great brand where the products are all handmade in the United States.
This beard balm is an affordable, yet quality product ideal for novice beard growers and experts alike.
The delicate blend of Cedar and Wintergreen essentials oils is by design. Cedar is a woodsy, sweet oil.
Traditionally, the wood from cedar trees has been used in building furniture and ships. The word evokes luxury and manliness.
Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties are often attributed to cedar essential oil, and its no secret why this oil is a popular ingredient in beard balms and conditioners.
Your beard already makes you look manly, the cedar oil with noticeably masculine scent is like supercharging that manliness even more.
Wintergreen, the second essential oil in this beard balm is also known for its anti-flammatory properties. Colonists used it for inflammation – and is used by herbalists to treat certain skin infections.
The combination of these two powerful anti-inflammatory essential oils in one beard balm makes it an excellent choice for those whose skin gets inflamed or irritated.
If your facial hair grows at odd angles then this beard balm is a good choice with the soothing and cool wintergreen essential oil to soothe the irritation. No wonder it is used to massage overworked muscles!

This seems to give me some manageability and sculpting on my beard and mustache. Not much of a smell to it, but that okay.

First this should not be billed as a styling product which comparing it to mustache wax implies. It has zero styling prospects. In fact I found it far harder to style my beard after applying this product than before.
Secondly it has a smell, a strong smell that is best to Pepto-Bismol. The smell subsides within about half an hour, and stops smelling of medicine about an 45 min to an hour latter. Personally I’m not sure which is worse: the smell of my beard and hands after applying this balm being reminiscent of Pepto, or that the sent suggests I’ve been vomiting or having diarrhea to those close enough to smell me.
On a positive note it does make the hair of my beard did feel much softer after its application. Not enough to make continue to use the stuff, but enough to make me sorry that it is otherwise so unpleasant.

Overall, it’s a pretty good product. One reviewer said it smelled like Pepto, but as a former user of dipping tobacco, all I smelled when I opened it was the tobacco. It does go away quickly though when you put it on. It doesn’t give much sculpting ability, but it does make the beard nice and soft.
